Trichology is the branch of dermatology devoted to hair and scalp. Dr. Maritza Flórez sees hair patients in Medellín with training in Clinical Trichology, and examines every case with trichoscopy before proposing treatment.
Diagnosis leads: telling androgenetic alopecia from an effluvium, from alopecia areata or from a scarring alopecia changes both the prognosis and what should be done. The first trichology consultation is therefore devoted to identifying the cause before treating it.
